The S.A.R.A.H. Center offers the Senior adult a full day of activities in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding.

Just as, if not more important, the Caregiver can enjoy some time to themselves while the Senior is busy at the Center.
Participation at the S.A.R.A.H. Center allows the adult to remain active during the day making it easier for their Families to continue caring for them at home in the evening. |

S.A.R.A.H. Centers, founded in 1985, provide an active daytime program that meets social, recreational and health needs.
S.A.R.A.H. Centers serve adults who require an environment that provides supervision, increased social opportunities, the administration of medications and assistance with their ‘activities of daily living’. |

S.A.R.A.H Center programs keep Senior adults busy throughout the morning and afternoon . . . they return home in the evening more relaxed . . . and the Caregivers can enjoy some much needed personal time during the day.

What are Adult Day Services ?
Adult Day Services are community based facilities designed to meet the needs of Senior adults and their Families / Caregivers. These structured, comprehensive programs provide a variety of health, social and related support services in a protective setting conducive to building (or re-building) the Senior’s confidence and self esteem.
Adult Day Services Centers operate during normal daytime hours, Monday through Friday. Individuals who participate in adult day care attend on a planned basis during specified hours. |

Who uses an Adult Day Services Center ?
Adult Day Centers are designed to serve Senior adults who require an environment that provides supervision, increased social opportunities, the administration of medications and assistance with their ‘activities of daily living’. What criteria should be used when selecting an Adult Day Center?
A quality Adult Day Services Center offers the following to the participating Senior adult:

an assessment, at admission, to determine their range of abilities and need |
|
‘plan of care’ development with scheduled monitoring of progress |
|
an active daytime program that meets their social, recreational and health needs |
|
medication administration and assistance with ‘activities of daily living’ |
|
support to the families through information on, and referrals to, other community services |
|
|
|
Adults may attend one day per week ... every day of the week ... or anywhere in between ... whatever schedule is most appropriate for the individual and their family.
The S.A.R.A.H. Center is open during the daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
