The fourteen
reservations of Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
consist of over 20,000 acres of various landscapes and attractions
for the park visitor to enjoy. The Park District is commonly referred
to as the "Emerald Necklace" because the reservations encircle the
city of Cleveland. Discover and enjoy any or all of the reservations!
Get out on a
Cleveland Metroparks Trail. All purpose, bridle, hiking, and physical
fitness trails are located throughout the Park District and offer
excellent opportunities for walking, running, cross-country skiing,
horseback riding, cycling, and in-line skating.

Cleveland Metroparks
has hundreds of picnic tables, and over 70 picnic areas and shelters
for visitors to enjoy. Most picnic areas are available on a non-exclusive,
shared use basis. A limited number of group picnic areas are available
on a reservable basis. Located throughout Cleveland Metroparks,
reserved group picnic areas are a great place for group outings,
family reunions or company events. The areas are available year-round
for a nominal fee and offer picnic tables, grills and various amenities.

The Chalet can
be rented for family outings, functions and company picnics spring,
summer and fall. The recreation area features cooking grills and
picnic tables, plus a ball field, swings, sand volleyball court,
sandbox, and horseshoe pit. An all purpose trail runs near the Chalet
and can be used for activities like bicycling, jogging, skating,
and walking. During October, the Chalet offers old-fashioned hayrides
and square dancing.

The natural
beauty of Cleveland Metroparks provides the perfect backdrop for
a winter toboggan adventure at the Chalet. Experience the thrill
of plunging downhill at high speed on the two new frozen ice chutes.

Long regarded
among the most challenging public courses in Northeast Ohio - Cleveland
Metroparks offer the highest standards in golf including well-maintained
greens and tees. The staff is ready to assist golfers and ensure
an enjoyable golf experience. The courses also offer a variety of
services including pro shops, snack bars, watered greens, and tees.
Premium services and amenities generally not available at public
golf courses will be offered at Manakiki and Sleepy Hollow.
